Acids and Bases

Today in science we learned about acids and bases. Here are some question that the teacher wanted us to think about:
  • What is pH?

pH is a measurement of how acidic/basic water is.
  • How do you measure pH?

You can measure pH using litmus paper.
  • What is the scale of pH is measured on?

PH is measured on the range goes from 0 - 14.
  • What pH level does water have? Is water acidic, basic or neutral?

Pure water has a pH of 7 and it is neutral because it has neither acidic nor basic.
  • What is the most acidic pH level?

the most is zero the most acidic.
  • What is the most basic pH level?

Th most is 14 .

Something else the teacher also told us s some facts is the most liquid is ether an acid or base depending on the type of Ions. The different types of ions we have learnt so far is hydroxide ions hydrogen ions. She also told us that the pH scale is always 0 to 14. And that usually acid is bad but all acids are bad like lemons, grapes and oranges, they have citric acid

now we did the task:
